Sangha App Community Manager

Sangha App is seeking a part-time, paid Sangha App Community Manager to serve as the central hub and user experience manager for Sangha App, ensuring that the online platform is responsive and vital to a wide range of stakeholders. The position is remote and may be carried out wherever there is reliable access to wifi.

Required Skills, Experience, and Other Qualifications 

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Gakyil member, including
  • Understanding of the specificity and diversity of DC as a target group, respect for it and working according to the circumstances
  • Good knowledge of the Sangha and active user experience
• Managerial skills, including
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to communicate empathetically
  • Creating and maintaining structure
  • Common sense
  • Proactively seeking opportunities and solving problems
  • A creative way of thinking
  • Ability to work in a cost-effective manner, balancing activity in relation to the app goal
• High proficiency in English (Spanish, Italian or Russian are an advantage)
• Enthusiasm for technology, including
  • Control of basic online means of communication
  • Experience with web tools and applications
  • Product management experience preferred

Detailed Description 

The Sangha App Community Manager is responsible for the vitality of Sangha App to practitioners throughout the globe. The ideal candidate will have deep and ongoing experience in the Dzogchen community, and be involved in-person and virtually with Sangha members throughout the world. They will be aware of the dynamics in the community and actively work to increase the worth of Sangha App to its stakeholders, and to support the positive use of and communication within the Sangha App. 

The ultimate goal is achieving established results, which is that people know the Sangha App, know how it works, love it, and actively use it to benefit their Path and support each other.

In particular, the Sangha App Community Manager will carry out the following:

• Work systematically with Gakyils to increase the use and worth of Sangha App to the worldwide community. This would include methodical and business development.
  
• Proactively seek and find opportunities for the dissemination and use of the application.
  
• Develop promotional activities according to current circumstances – e.g. presentations, events, reminders of the possibilities of its rich functionality, stimulates content and anything that helps the needs of practitioners at a given moment.
  
• Recruit ambassadors – continuously, systematically and at the same time flexibly meet and recruit people from Gars and Lings who naturally become ambassadors for the app.
  
• Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders – in-person and virtual work with the ambassador
  community of senior practitioners, Gakyils, and instructors – live contact with community center
  ambassadors and individual practitioners – using media and human communication channels in DC.
  
• Share the app – understanding the essence, significance and specificity of the application – share it with sensitivity and precise intent.
  
• Work independently and cooperatively – this position is independent, but cooperates within the Sangha App team and proactively/creatively adjusts assignments to the approved result.
